TRIBE RUN CLUB values your privacy and the protection of your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains the information we collect about you as part of your use of our website and apps (together, the “Services”), how we use that information, the extent to which we share that information with third parties, and your rights in respect of such information. This Privacy Policy should be read alongside our Terms, which set out the terms applicable to the use of our Services.


The Data Controller for the Services is APAR SRL with its registered address at Milano at Viale della Liberazione 15, Italy, 20124. Tribe Run Club is a trading name of APAR SRL. Throughout this Privacy Policy, the terms “Tribe Run Club,” “we,” “us,” “platform,” and “our” refer to APAR SRL. By using the Services, you consent to our use of your personal data in accordance with this Privacy Policy. This Privacy Policy may change from time to time. Your continued use of the Services after we make changes is deemed to be acceptance of those changes, so please check the policy periodically for updates. You will know if there has been an update since your last visit by referring to the “Last Update” date at the top of this webpage.

What data do we collect and why?

When you register to use our Services, we ask for your name, email address, birthday, gender and password to create and maintain your profile. When using our Services to search for running activity close to your area we will use your location. We do not collect this type of data when you are not using our Services and you may choose to stop sharing your location by disabling this function in our app’s, or your devices, privacy settings.

We also collect and store the start location of events and activities that you create and register through the app. This information is stored in our secure databases for the purpose of tracking and displaying activities and events to other users (if made public).
While using the services you may want to upload your photos and trainings to share them with the community. With respect to technical information, log files (such as cookies), device and usage information (including IP address, operating system, location, device identifiers), Tribe run club may collect this information to improve our website and Services, and to improve how we operate our business.


Some of this information is optional and is collected to help tailor your experience, and some is necessary for us to provide our Services. You can change your profile personal data within the app.

Other scenarios in which we may use your personal data
If we become involved in a business sale, merger, acquisition, securities offering, bankruptcy, reorganization, dissolution or other similar transaction, we may share or transfer your personal data solely in connection with such transaction.

Tribe run club also uses anonymous browsing information collected automatically by our servers primarily to help us administer and improve the Services.  We may also use such aggregated anonymous information to provide information about the Services to potential business partners and other third parties.  Rest assured that this information is not personally identifiable to a specific user and so cannot be used to identify you.

How long do we keep it for?

We keep your personal data only for the time necessary for us to provide the Services to you.  We may be required to retain information for a longer period whenever required to do so for the performance of a legal obligation or where obliged to do so by a regulatory authority. 

We may anonymize or aggregate your data to the extent it is no longer possible to identify you from it. This will typically be used for analytical and statistical purposes to help us develop and improve our Services for other Users.

Who is it shared with?

We recognize that much of the information we collect about you is inherently private, and we are not in the business of selling it to others.  We may share your personal data with our trusted third parties (such as IT vendors, hosting providers and advisors who help to run our business) who we contract with to perform specific functions to help deliver our Services:
 Amazon (Amazon Web Services) – for hosting your photos and activity data on its cloud software.
 Digital Ocean – Our databases and applications are hosted in Europe, specifically in Frankfurt, Germany, ensuring compliance with European data protection laws.
 For Analytics: Google Firebase, Analytics and Tag Manager – for analytical and statistical purposes;
 In-app Features: Google firebase – for various in-app features and interfaces including notifications.


We require all third party service providers to implement appropriate security measures to protect your personal data. Where our third-party providers are data controllers, they are responsible for the safeguarding of your data: please refer to each of our third parties’ own privacy policies for further detail on how they may process your data. We do not permit our third party service providers to use your
personal data for their own purposes. The recipient of your personal data will be bound by confidentiality obligations. We may amend the list of third parties we use from time to time.We may also share your personal data with our professional advisers (such as lawyers) or external IT support who are bound by confidentiality obligations. We may also be required to share some personal data as required to comply with the law or a legal obligation such as to the police and courts. This may be necessary in situations where the legal authorities make a request for your personal data on the
grounds of preventing or detecting a crime, or if we suspect fraud.

How are your information protected?

We work to protect the security of your personal data during transmission by using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software, which encrypts information you input.  If transactions are processed on our Services, transaction information is transmitted in encrypted form using industry-standard SSL connections to help protect such information from interception.  We restrict authorized access to your personal data to those persons who need to know that information to provide products or services to
you.

Tribe run club follows generally accepted industry standards to protect the personal data submitted to us, both during transmission and once Tribe run club receives it.  No method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure.  Therefore, while Tribe run club strives to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. We will notify you and any applicable regulator of a suspected data security breach where we
are legally required to do so.

We will not sell, distribute, or lease your personal information to third parties unless we have your permission or are required by law to do so.

What are your rights with respect to the personal data we hold about you?

Under certain circumstances, by law you have the right to request:
 access to your personal data (commonly known as a “subject access request”) – this enables you to receive a copy of your data and to check that we are lawfully processing it;
 correction of your data – this enables you to ask us to correct any incomplete or inaccurate information we hold about you; and
 erasure of your data – this enables you to ask us to delete or remove your data where there is no good reason for us continuing to process it. You also have the right to ask us to delete or remove your data where you have exercised your right to object to processing.

What is our policy regarding children?

Our services are not intended for children under 18 years of age.  If you are under this age, you should not use the Services. If we become aware that a child has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete that information, terminate that person’s account, and restrict access to that person.
